Testimonials.

"The Livewire Project has had a significant impact on the Level 3 Music Course that we run here at Hereford College of Arts: Not only has it enabled a large number of young musicians to gain the skills, techniques, experience and confidence necessary to apply for and be accepted onto the Course, it has also provided many opportunities for our students to gain vital experience as workshop assistants and facilitators on the Livewire Project itself, working alongside highly skilled and experienced professional musicians and tutors. Indeed, several of those now working on our course or Livewire – or both, began their musical journeys in local PRU’s having been given exceptional support and encouragement from Livewire/Music Pool staff to engage with Further Education.
I am delighted that there is now in place a strong, mutually beneficial relationship between Livewire and ourselves enabling a steady stream of young musicians to progress from Livewire sessions to our course and, in several cases, onto degree level courses, including our own recently launched BA (Hons) in Popular Music." - Pete Thorogood, Level 3 Music Course Leader, HEREFORD COLLEGE OF ARTS

"Over the several years the Livewire project’s young people have been performing at the festival, we have always been impressed by the high standard of their performance (and evident preparation for it), the quality of their original music and arrangements, and the dedication of the workshop leaders and volunteers that accompany them. The young people are clearly thrilled to be involved in Nozstock, Herefordshire’s largest musical event, and we in turn are very happy with the contribution that they, as beneficiaries of a local music charity project, make to it. It not only helps to support our place in the Herefordshire community to have Livewire participation, but for us it’s great to see in action the growth of new, young music right in the heart of our festival." - Toki Alison,  Festival producer, NOZSTOCK

"Our students benefit hugely from sessions with the Livewire musicians. The team work hard to engage a diverse selection of students, some with musical experience, many without. Their flexible and positive approach often engages those students with the most complex needs, and all musicians work hard to build students confidence and self-esteem." - Amanda Pandeli, Work Based Learning Coordinator, ST DAVID'S PRU

“KJM Studios have been involved with Livewire since 2012.   It’s an amazing project, run by skilled, knowledgeable, creative mentors.  It’s an absolute no brainer – if you’re 12-22 years old and want to grow your creative  skills – Livewire is a must!" - Corin Myatt, Owner, KJM STUDIOS

"Livewire is a brilliant music project with a dedicated team and fantastic prospect on Hereford's doorstep. The community based music charity for Herefordshire and it's borders passionately dedicates time to providing opportunities for young people to make music together. Livewire is instrumental in developing aspiring musicians' and artists capabilities and talents in a professional, safe, fun and relaxed environment." - Naomi Preece, CIRCUIT SWEET

"Livewire offers a fantastic service to the young people of Herefordshire providing an opportunity for the youth to participate in musical activities that they wouldn't normally have access to. We love having Livewire groups perform at our events and are proud to be involved with such a wonderful community focussed organisation." - Katie Bott, Operations Manager, FRIENDS OF CASTLE GREEN

"Livewire was a fantastic boost to the music line-up we had at Old Market in the weeks before Christmas. The atmosphere they created was perfect for our customers, with many commenting of the high standard of music talent they displayed. We were impressed with their professionalism,  repertoire and ability. We would be very happy to have Livewire perform on site again." - Kat Thomas, Marketing manager, OLD MARKET HEREFORD

"We have an excellent relationship with Livewire and have a lot of events in the pipeline, we will work with them to make sure this continues for the young musicians of Herefordshire. We are beyond pleased with the level of professionalism they show whilst performing at De Koffie Pot, we can see this is a very worthwhile, rewarding project"-  DE KOFFIE POT

"Livewire has completely made me who I am today - I wouldn't be the musician or the person I am now without Livewire. It's given me a huge amount of confidence in my music abilities, in performing live and in myself in general. It's allowed me to experience playing in a band and writing with other people, and the way we all bounce ideas off each other isn't comparable to anything else I would ever have access to. I have made friends at Livewire with people that I would never have usually even met, including people who are often able to get me involved with local gigs. It has made a huge difference to my solo music as well.  Not only have I written some of my best songs with Livewire and am now much more confident to perform them live, but I now often get offered gigs to represent Livewire which is a great opportunity. I've got a lot to thank them for!" - Jessie, PARTICIPANT

Livewire has given me the confidence to pursue music as a career, and allowed me to work with so many different people, many of which are now my friends. The work that this organisation does is truly invaluable to the people who use it, things like this don't come around often and I'm glad I am lucky enough to be a part of it."- Carl, PREVIOUS PARTICIPANT, CURRENT TRAINEE LEADER

"Livewire is a precious Herefordshire music initiative, based on talent not the ability to pay. All genres, instrumental and voice, technological and performance.  'Music can be a friend, inspire, say things, heal, let you escape' (Chad Lasky). Our young people need music now more than ever. - Lynne Bowers, PARENT

"Livewire has played a huge part in my sons life for a few years now both socially and educationally.  He loves both the Tuesday evenings and the holiday workshops. His musical knowledge has improved and he is a confident performer. I have been so appreciative of somewhere teens can 'hang out' in a positive, creative environment, making friends and music whilst gaining confidence and skills that will last a life time.
Thank you Livewire"- Siân Scamp, PARENT
